Blessed Week of Worship!!
We checked out before heading to the church on Wednesday morning. As we finished last minute preparation before the kids arrived, we took a few last minute group pictures.
Preparation!
The Bible is True & Helps Us Tell Others About Jesus!
In this morning’s Bible story, Phillip told the good news (Isaiah 53:7-8; Acts 8:26-40. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes Roman 1:16.
Life Changing Decisions – Four!
Brad discussed and reminded the kids that JESUS is the greatest treasure. He saves us and gives us eternal life in Heaven with Him. For God so loved the world that he gave us His one and only son, that who ever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life John 3:16.
God blessed us by using us to share His Word… FOUR kids asked Jesus to be Lord of their life!
Through a simple sharing of God’s Word and trying our best to be an encouragement to others, God gave us fruit for our labor.
Public School’s Call It –“Brunch for Lunch”
Never a bad time for bacon…
Piggy Back All the Way!
Today Mr. Fred was PUSH/PULL MOWING!?
Travis and I took the Marlars back down the hill during the afternoon bible study to meet Mr. Fred Webb. He is 101 years old and will be 102 on May 4th. He shared about being in World War II and going to Germany. He talked about buying his first and only new car. He even sang me a song he had written and copyrighted.
Afternoon Crafts!
Loading Up!
The kids went home with BIG smiles, Walking Tacos and an invitation to come back and visit City View with a list of services, times and activities.
We got a call later that night that five people that attended during the week with us had returned to their Wednesday night youth…FIVE who had never been to City View along with their parents!!
So Tired, but One More Activity to Go!
I did skate for a while. I only fell once. The fall wasn’t as bad as the kid behind me not watching where he was going and running over me. We had the whole rink reserved for our kids and youth workers from City View Baptist. Fun was had by all, even Travis who observed from the side. He may have been the smartest one there.
Yep- no breaks or bruises on this old man body! TS
Homeward Bound!
I drove the first half of the trip home and then we stopped for dinner. We were a pretty quiet bunch at this point. Travis finished up the last leg into Corinth. The girls found their second wind and started singing at about 8:30. We arrived at Oakland around 9:30, unloaded all the equipment and made it back to our house by 10:15.
Sharing the Gospel is What it is All About!
These two had asked Jesus to be Lord of their lives on Wednesday morning. Wednesday night, as we were traveling home, we received this picture from our friends at City View. Both were reading their Bibles and studying God’s Word!
