Skybox in Saltillo, MS

This was a recommended sports style restaurant by our friend Brad. Headed out on our 50-minute drive to Saltillo after our last Upward Basketball game of this season. The game in which the same Brad gave me a technical foul…..did I mention we coach 1st and 2nd grade girls!!

Yes, we know Saltillo, and yes as per typical of us we had to do a U Turn to get to Skybox. When we arrived it wasn’t too busy. We got our water fairly quickly, but it slowed to a crawl after that. The waitress told us about 15 minutes later that they weren’t staffed to have many customers today. I think they were doing quite a bit of take out. We had PLENTY of time to look over the menus. Even though Brad had given his recommendation of a wrap, I went with the Farm Team Burger. Travis ordered the wrap by showing the video of Brad ordering for him. We decided on an appetizer of Fried Banana Peppers.

Sound carries VERY well in this restaurant, so we heard what several families had planned for the day. Watched gymnastics, golf, and basketball on the T.V’s around the restaurant. And waited…..and waited….and waited. An hour after arriving, we had our food. It was super yummy. There were several things on the menu that I would have liked to try out. We might go back, might not. The several people that waited on us, and it was several very spread out over the 90 minutes we were there, were very nice.
